In the early age of the Net Art Movment, articles explored the possibilities of the the internet. The internet opened up the possibility for collaboration and better communication between artists. This enabled bigger community building which would help artists to be seen easier and increase the number of accessible works of art to view with the touch of a finger. The internet was able to bring diversity to the network of artists. It embraced an interactive nature within the internet and distorted the lines between viewers and the creators. This enabled new pathways for artistic expression. The movement also emphasized experimentation. It was an era of learning where it wasn’t wrong to try new things and pave your own way. It was encouraged and embraced which resulted in a change in the culture and industry of art we know today. Net art also brought foresight into what the future could look like. Once the internet was discovered, it was only a matter of time before we were going to make significant steps in it. The Art Movement interacted well with the digital landscape. It followed at it’s pace and didn’t get left behind. Part of this was because people were excited about it and were leaning into it. If people let it pass, it could have fallen behind and not been accepted and chased to the degree it was. With these doors open, the art world was forever changed. Even if you were still in the industry of exchanging art, you could now find a larger pool of people to do it with. It accommodate to all aspects from merchants to creators, viewers, and buyers.
